  FA-0045 Small Scandinavian band box in old green paint with reddish trim all around. There are initials on top encircled by what looks like painted "chained" walnuts.  The box is named and dated 1863.

CO-0245 A carved and painted dog bearing a torch in its mouth became symbolic for the Dominicans.  Saint Dominic's (Light of the world) mother was the Blessed Joan of Aza who, while pregnant had a vision that her unborn child was a dog who would illuminate the world with the torch it carried in its mouth.  Tyrolean, Early 19th Century.
